Sky telephone agent offered me 148MBPS broadband but I don't think that speed is available to me

So I called Sky with the intention of leaving as my TV bills (no broadband) have risen to £140 pm.

The telpehone agent tried to get me  to stay and offfered me a tv and bradband bundle. He said that he could arrange 148mbps broadband with a minimum guaranteed download speed of 100mbps.

However, Ofcom and all of the comparison websites say I am limited to ewither 67 or 80mps. How can Sky offer me this speed? if it is not correct, then surely this is miselling?

G.fast is showing green and its basically part fibre at a higher frequency to get 150 Mbps .

So I can get GFAST through Sky then? On the Sky website itself, it says the maximum speed I can get is 60-odd MBPS. Why can the teleagent in India tell me I can get GFast but the Sky website cannot?

I am loathe to cancel my existing braodband with another provider to move to Sky on the promise of something they cannot deliver!

sky is not actively promoting g.fast as its approaching end of life.  But in absence of full fibre it can still be ordered if it shows as green

The choice is yours personally i think the telesales agent was quite observant to know it is available
