Sky q hub query

I have just received a new sky q hub but i do not have Sky q tv (i have sky+HD box) , will this cause a problem?

The lady at Sky didnt mention anything but now curious before it goes live .

Also if it is ok how do i input the password on my tv if it has upper, lower case & numbers? Previoysly its only allowed me to input capital letters?

Any help appreciated

@anncoe1 the Sky Q hub will work normally with your Sky HD+ box its Sky's standard router.

 

Most TV's allow you to switch from Upper case to lower case in their onscreen keyboards its a pain entering the wifi codes that way.

It's often much easier to link a smart TV using WPS, if the WiFi setup menu offers that.
