I recently had an engineer come out and set up my sky router. When I mentioned the internet would be slow in other rooms he gave us a sky max pod and told us it would take a minute. The light is still flashing and it's been over many hours. I was wondering if this is because I haven't paid for that package that usually gives you the sky max pod?

I'd think so, yes. Previous generations of booster hardware didn't have a mandatory subscription supplement.
