Sky max hub very poor signal strength and constantly dropping out

I have a sky max hub which is marketed as having better range and coverage in the home. My issue is that it not only loses signal on occasion but the signal strength is horrendous. The tv in my bedroom is circa 10m from the router and if it does pick up a signal it is usually around 5% strength, then may jump up to the 50's then it goes altogether. I constantly seem to have to reset it to get it to work, and I know it's not an issue with the tv as it picks up the neighbours Wi-Fi and I live in a detached house!
