Sky keeps dropping out in my own home

the house is a modern house, so no brickwork, and I don't live in a mansion, and my WiFi connection keeps dropping out in the kitchen...... and it's less than 15m away from the router. Sky have offered WiFi discs for a cost..... I said I paid for a service and i expect the hub to cover the 15m distance without issues. So I don't want to pay more for coverage of a small modern 3 bed house.
