Sky hasn’t paid my previous provider

I recently called in to drop some services and was talked into switching back to sky broadband  after the operator offered to pay off my contract.

this morning I get £113.98 taken out of my account from vodaphone.

Any advice on how I can get this remedied I have called sky 8 times only to be put through to the useless call centre in god knows where that do not have a clue how to remedy.

Re: Sky hasn’t paid my previous provider

I don't know the specifics with Sky but such offers to cover termination fees don't usually go straight to the losing ISP. Instead they are added to your account as credit. You still remain responsible for paying Vodafone yourself.

I'd expect the credit to be added once outside the cooling off period.

@iluvthe80s

The advisor might have been talking about switching credit whereby Sky will pay up to £100 for TV and £100 for Broadband in credit if you have been charged for leaving your previous supplier.

This link explains it and how to put in a claim for it:

You must provide a copy of the bill from Vodafone where you have been charged and a copy of a statement showing that you have paid it and send these to Sky via this email address - switching credit @sky.uk (all one word without the gap)
