@Hamish123 Do not know anything about the sky Max and the Pod booster's apart from what is learned via the Forum, wonder if it is something to do with your home move and the account side, you may just need to do the call to sky and have them take a look from that side.

Re: Sky extender
Try going through this to see if it helps:
If not and if you have Wi-Fi Max on your account then Sky will supply up to 3 pods as you can read about here:
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-wifi-max
Select "No, I still need help" at the bottom on the above link.
If someone has helped you then please click on the LIKES button in their post.
If you need help please provide as much information as you can

Re: Sky extender
Hello @Hamish123
Wi-Fi is probably the most common issue raised with any internet provider as a single router is often not capable of covering the whole property. I am not an expert in this but have experienced the problem of wifi not reaching all rooms as we live in a bungalow with the router at the front of the property (cannot easily be moved) so rooms at the back were black spots.
If you can't get help from Sky with boosters as per @caesarome's post then two other options are:
1. Invest in further hardware and create your own wifi Mesh with sufficient devices to cover the whole house. There are multiple suppliers you can pick from that all work well, but this can be relatively costly (however once invested, a Mesh system would work with any broadband supplier if you eventually move away from Sky).
2. Homeplugs/Powerline devices can provide a hardwired solution from your Sky Broadband router to other rooms using your mains wiring, you simply need a power socket near the router and another in the "target" room that then allows devices to be hardwired (or connection of a wifi hotspot in the target room).
I went with option 1 (4 x Amazon Eeros), which also made wifi available on our patio outside which is great for the summer. This worked flawlessly when with TalkTalk and also since moving to Sky last August. Hope that I haven't jinxed it !
Good luck whatever you decide to try !

Re: Sky extender
Hey, thanks for that.
The problem being I had a much larger house and I had one of the boosters from sky.
So when I moved I took all my gear with me and when I put the booster in right next to the WiFi it won't connect. I've registered but the white light just keeps flashing
The house I have, is about half the size of what I was staying in.
I want an engineer out to fix it for me but trying to get a hold of anybody at sky is proving more of a task than I thought.

Re: Sky extender
Hi,
My sky WiFi is working in the living room but not the bedrooms.
I'll probably give them a phone and see if I can get and answer, as you sure can't get thru on web site.
It's just ridiculous.
Bring back the good old days of actually talking to a person and not this AI nonsense.

Re: Sky extender
@Hamish123 Think the only one that springs to mind similar to your NON connecting pod, the pod was fine, and a sky Engineer had to get through to sky Tech support at the customer's home, do the needfull with sky, then it reconnected and off it went... Know what you mean but it's a 150 landline call, hang once you fought the ivr and speak with someone that hopefully does know what it's all about! If not they will arrange a SKY Engineer to pop round and sort it all out.... Just don't think there is much you can do apart from scratch the head and you've do what you can with it all!

Re: Sky extender
Hey JimM1
You will not believe it with my fire sticks.
It's now working in the bedrooms, because.......I was not using the Amazon plug and cables, must of got them mixed up during the move, it's still not the best of signals to be honest but its working.
Think I need a new booster though, as the one I have isn't connecting at all.
So that's something for everybody, use the "Amazon cables"
I'll try contact sky by text as I see you can do that!try get a few new boosters
Cheers for the help!

Re: Sky extender
@Hamish123 You should do that, but the fact now it sounds like your home is pretty well covered and a booster may not be required, worth trying without and if it does you will be able to dump the boost at your contract end and make a little saving!
