Re: Sky engineers
leaving aside the fact they were never officially "engineers" (which requires way more training and certification), yes there are still some but connecting a TV to a wifi network is way below the difficulty threshold that would justify the expense of sending a technician.
If it was a sky device, or if the broadband just wasn't working, it would probably be something they would do but I doubt it for a 3rd party TV.
presumably this TV just wants you to provide a wifi SSID and a password?

Re: Sky engineers
@BRIAN9650 the forumcan probbably help if you post details of the TV and the colour of your Sky hub. There is a quite common issue with Samsung TVs and Sky's white hubs where the new higher WiFi security standard these hubs use prevents the TV from connecting. The fix is simple go into the Hub's advanced settings in the My Skky app and find the wifi security setting and change it to WPA2 from WPA3-T.
If that isnot your problem just post the details and someine can probably help.

Re: Sky engineers
As indicated above, no ISP will despatch an 'engineer' to connect a smart television to WiFi: that's always expected to be done by the customer themselves.

Isn't WPA3 backwards compatible?

Re: Sky engineers
WPA3-T ('Transition-mode') is supposed to negotiate, but some WPA2 hardware cannot manage this.
