Sky booster

Hi,

I have had my sky booster box for a few months, but have just got got round to setting it up.

I have tried all the WPS things, and the power light and the WiFi light are on, but there is no light at all on the connected light.

Can someone please help as I'm trying to unsuccessfully connect my printer to the broadband, but it won't connect.

Thank you

Janie

@JANIE20 there are different versions of Sky boosters check that the booster you have looks like a white version of the Sky hub. If it came from Sky it should but if you got it second hand it might be the wrong type  which is why it wont connect.

Re: Sky booster

I've had it at various distances, just to see if it would connect. I even had them sat right next to each other.

Re: Sky booster

I found putting them side by side and pressing the wps buttons got all 3 green lights to lock on the booster. I would also reeset the booster if you bought it from fleabay..... then do the wps side by side.

Re: Sky booster

Hey, yeah I've tried that as well. It was actually sent to me from sky, so I thought it should be more reliable. But trying to get through to them is a constant nightmare.

Re: Sky booster

Ebay.. About 35 quid.

Sky don't give many out...

Get the white upright version that looks like your broadband hub...

Re: Sky booster

I actually got one from them when my broadband ran out of contract and I was going to change to BT, because I was having so many issues. Still can't get it to work though.

Re: Sky booster

To be honest yes as I can stream on the TV in the grandkids back bedroom without issue where without it, it tended to buffer a fair bit.

Re: Sky booster

I got a wifi booster yesterday. White upright one,  no Ethernet port.

We have the Black upright HUB

Struggled to get them to connect initially. Tried to reset the Booster. Tried long press on the WPS buttons. Tried pressing the Booster WPS first, then the HUB first. Moved them closer and further away.

In the end I reset both the HUB and the BOOSTER and then they connected first time.

Anyone struggling another thing to try.
