Sky Wifi Max and Repeater Connection Issue
I have recently moved to Wifi Max (white router) from the 'black box' router and the ASUS RT-AC68U router that I use as a repeater is no longer allowing access to the internet.
I have connected the router to the new network and given it a fixed IP and I can see it on the connected devices list. When I connect to the SSID from the repeater my laptop connects ok but I can't access the internet. Any thoughts on why this is occuring? I have set it up just as it was on the old network.
I also have issues connecting some 2.4GHz devices to the new router, I think a seprate post will be required for that! (unless anyione can offer suggestions).
Thanks.

Re: Sky Wifi Max and Repeater Connection Issue
@runbluemaddy The sky max info linked below, you do not say how you have the Asus connected to the Max, if you are doing it all wireless then adjust the Max down to wpa2-psk for the wireless security! If you still have the SR203 consider putting it all back and sending the sky Max back!
Sky Max change settings link.

Re: Sky Wifi Max and Repeater Connection Issue
Thanks @JimM1 Yes I do still have the SR203 and boosters and I am close to reinstalling them!
The ASUS router (configured as a repeater) is connected to the max wirelessly.
I will make the suggested change to the max but I'm not holding out hope that it will work 🤞

Re: Sky Wifi Max and Repeater Connection Issue
@runbluemaddy The asus will probably work if you reduce the wpa mode on the sky Max hub but you will need to use the sky app to do that see the link!

Re: Sky Wifi Max and Repeater Connection Issue
Thanks again @JimM1 - I have used the MySky app to set the security level to WPA2 and this has resolved the smart plugs and Alexa connection issues. The ASUS router still refuses to allow me internet access once connected to the SSID's it broadcasts (2.4 & 5GHz).
Do I need to make any config changes to the max to allow this device to route traffic in/out?

Re: Sky Wifi Max and Repeater Connection Issue
@runbluemaddy There is nothing in the max to adjust, would do the reset for the Asus, and setup again it's use as repearter mode, the sky Max jumps right up the 5Ghz band as high as it can go, but the Asus should be able to match and get up there with it!

Re: Sky Wifi Max and Repeater Connection Issue
@JimM1 I have a result! I set the Asus router to use DHCP and removed the fixed IP on the max (don't know why I did this in the first place) and once the change took effect the Asus repeater connected and it now allows connection to the internet when using one of its SSID's.
Thanks again.
