I recently upgraded to the new Max Wifi Hub on the basis that it would help with a better signal into my sons bedroom, so far so good.
However i have an office / man cave down the garden where I run a cat 6 cable between my Sky Q box in the house and the Sky Q mini box in the office, the minibox becoming my internet access point.
since upgrading to the Max Hub I have been unable to use the Minibox as an access point. It still identifies with the old router name and does not allow access. Ive reset everything several times without success. Any ideas?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@bcfc1186 one work round would be to buy a cheap wifi access point and turn off the Wifi on the Q mini and just use it fir TV programming. If your access point has two ethernet ports use the second to link the Q mini otherwise you would need a small unmanaged ethernet switch.

By way of an update, it turns out that it is a complete farce. After an hour on the phone this morning I have been told that the Sky Q Minibox can no longer act a signal boost when you 'upgrade' to Sky Hub Max. Not explained to me when they called me to 'upgrade'. Very poor from Sky.
