Sky WiFi booster

  • Hi all , quick question, I have the newer sky router SR203 and I'm going to buy the sky booster for it the SE210 , question is does the router still give out signal so I can connect to that router or will everything suddenly transfer on to the boosters signal ? Thanks

Ideally any such 'booster' (which is really a relay or repeater) is placed halfway between the Hub and the WiFi weak spot, so that client devices connect to whichever signal is stronger.  By itself, booster broadcast isn't any stronger than that coming from a router because maximum power output is subject to national regulations: you wouldn't want to share house space with an unregulated microwave emitter.
