Sky Ultrafast 1Gb broadband - SR203 max download speed 500Mb

I currently have sky ultrafast 1Gb broadband.

Unfortuntly when using the sky broadband hub (SR203, FW 7.02.0501.R) the max im able to download at is 500Mb.  All connected via ethernet. Checked the Ethernet Type is set to gigabit on the SR203.

Different speedtests also max out at 400/500Mb.

But if i swap over to old third party router i have and connect to sky via it i get full 900/1Gb download speed?

Can the SR203 not hangle a 1Gb connection?

@Slipknot1 not aware of a limitation as such my own SR203 handles a 550Mb/s connection without issue. Although Sky have temporarily stopped selling the Gigabit service the reason why they stopped was not due to the hub as such.

The SR203 wifi will not deliver much over 600Mb/s but ethernet should deliver around 900Mb/s. I assume you are using the same direct ethernet connection when you switch the routers over. Powerline adapters in the connection could introduce restrictions.

Straight ethernet connect.....well a gigabyte switch in-between but apart from that.

Zero WiFi on the devices I speedtest with.

Only difference is the device that connects to sky, both in the same place with the same ethernet cable
