Sky Router

I think I have a problem with my Sky Router. Device connection is intermittent and I am being kicked out of devices within a few hours. I have checked broadband speed, connection etc and all are good.

Work laptop and Sky Q main and mini boxes are affected. This has been happening for 2 weeks.

any ideas ?

@DMJEN  Black or white router from Sky? How are all these devices that you have connected to your router. wired or by Wi-Fi?

Hiya, thanks for responding. All connections are Wi-fi and router is black. I shall try a hard wired connection and get back to you

Hard wire connection is also intermittent. Booted out twice in last hour. Do I need a replacement router ?

@DMJEN When it is as you say hung up and offline, what do the 4 hub lights look like, and what is the method do you use to recover and get back online.

 

Are you prepared to live without your sky Q for a little while to fault find what may be going on! Will possibly be killing your mini's so hotspot wi-fi about may suffer badly, so you are aware!

Hub lights are always green.

Why cant sky just send a replacement router 😳. I been messing about with connecting/ re-connecting per the sky help advice for 2 weeks. I de-activated all devices bar one and it still goes down.

We are now only hard wired to one device and we have no internet. If it's not the router, what else

can it be?

@DMJEN You need to call sky, they will run a diagnostic from there end, what they find determines the action that will be taken, that is all that can be done, if you feel you have exhausted all at your end. Good luck with it all.👍

@DMJEN It's a patience game, hope that your one wired device is NOT a sky Q sat box!
