My Sky box connects to the internet by wifi and has done so fine. Now almost everyday it is loosing connection and I am having to re connect it most days. Would anyone know why this has suddenly started happening? The internet seems to be working fine.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@mercede5 usual reason is a poor wifi connection. What router do you have?
Sky Q boxes can only connect to the 2.4GHz and 5GHz band of the wifi signsl from a Sky hub. On any third party wifi it only connects to the 2.4GHz band which is prone to interference as only 3 or at most 4 networks can use thst band without interference and typically there can be 6 or more of your neighbour's networks can be in range more if you live in a flat.
A reboot of your router usually forces it to find the least congested channel. If it continues call Sky as they should send out an engineer to check the set up.

Thank you for your reply. I have a Sky Q hub, we've had it a long time. An engineer came out not so long ago and fixed some bits with the set up. The speed now all seems fine, but he did say on his visit that the router was old. I will try a reboot and see if that improves things.
