No you should not need to.

Also if you need more ethernet ports you can simply buy an 'ethernet switch'. You can get them for about £10-15

HI @jamesn123 got the cable and it works, disbaled wifi using the 001 engineer code and all looks good, my speed has doubled in the bedroom now,  also getting full speed over wifi in living room so dont need the extra ports. (still think sky should let you just disbale to hot spot but use the mesh for the sky products but hey heyho) cheers
