Sky Max router

What is the general feeling of sky Max router I've been advised by a techy that it doesn't like the high end security and works better when you lower your security levels to 2

@mccowan I think there is some confusion there isnt an issue with the Sky Max hub and the WPA3 WiFi security. I think the issue you are talking about is that the default backwards compatable WPA3-T level that the WiFi Alliance specified to allow both WPA3 kit and WPA2 kit to connect has issues. Specifically some WPA2 equipment like many Samsung TVs wont connect. Where this happens the security level on the hub needs dropping back to WPA2 which in practice is not a significant issue.

I believe Sky have changed the hubs to default to WPA2 to avoid the problem until the WPA3-T standard is sorted.

@mccowan

That may be conflating two different issues.

It's undoubtedly the case that some client devices cannot handle the default WPA3-T encryption and require this to be reduced to WPA2.

Whether WPA3 itself is related in any way to the apparently erratic wireless performance of the max Hub in some properties is not yet established.
