Sky Max does not deliver

I needed more WiFi range, we sold Sky Max, with new router (white only available, even though all appliances are black). Since changing over it has been 10X worse. Had an engineer coming. He was polite did his best. Today signal drops in and out, products need to be constantly reconnected. Will not connect to smart plugs. Speed is horrendous. There are 5 days left to see if it improves. If not, cancelling the service, back to the former router, will send it back and consider a different hardware supplier. Honestly, I think SKY launched a new product/router and has got everything horribly wrong, let's see.

Max isn't particularly new: it's been around since summer 2023.  Repeated forum posts suggest it underperforms in some properties, but only Sky will know what percentage of installations that represents.

 

Sky actually has a newer model router but that's currently only available on CityFibre circuits.
