Sky Max Wi-Fi Hub connect to Sky Q box via Wi-Fi.

Had a visit from a Sky Tech expert today. Mentioned about Sky Q Box not connecting via Wi-Fi to new ( white ) Sky Max Wi-Fi Hub.

He said the Hub is not user friendly, and the instructions are vague!

He also said the WPS button on the Sky Max Wi-Fi Hub shouldn't be used to connect to the Sky Q Box, it does not help the reset.

What you should do , is go to Set Up , then Network, then Status.

Select the 2nd option, not the top Sky option.

You will then be asked for your Sky Hub password details. Enter and carry on.

I spent all day trying to connect my hub. Eventually going online looking for help and found your chat and followed your advice and Voila it worked a treat.

Got a new max pod today. Had no problems before setting up but after q box and mini not connecting. Found your post, tried it and it seems to be working. Big thanks.😀

Thank you @GeoWolf58 this solved the issue for me too. Very useful post. 
engineer said to me that we don't choose the top sky option but instead the second "other" option as the equipment is not Sky but parent company Comcast. It's certainly not obvious-but your post solves it for many.

Thanks a million (and to the person coming to your assistance). I've spent hours trying to get connected via the hold WPS button to no avail.  Just by luck I came across your response and got connected in the time it took to enter the password. I will definitely contact Sky and let them know what I think of them.  Right now regretting moving recently fromBT.

Glad this helped @spursfan123 -it solved it for me after many fruitless efforts and searches so I know how you feel-but such a shame this couldn't be in the setup instruction tips and save so many more hours of wasted time for users through no fault of their own. Things will improve. It seems to often be a rocky path to a smooth operation!

i am disabled and had tried to connect sky max hub to sky Q box without success and the. Googled how to do it and seen this hint that the WPS button did not work well and type in details using the second button down and worked first time.
