Sky Max Pods stopped working

Hi. I have a Sky Max Hub and two Sky Max Pods. The Pods have been working fine.

I had an engineer visit today to look at a fault with the broadband speed to my hub. During the process he had to fix some connections and had to power cycle the Hub a couple of times.

After he left I noticed that the Max Pods are now constantly flashing white, and can no longer be seen in the MySky app. The app is giving me no option to re-add them.

I've already moved the pods closer to the Hub to decrease the range, they're now in the same room as the Hub.

What am I missing?

Re: Sky Max Pods stopped working

@Chrisee I didn't get any joy rebooting so called Sky and they shared this link which took me through the Pod registration process and that fixed it.

Last question - is there a way to 'force' a device to use the nearest Pod? My laptop is physically closer to the Pod upstairs, but is connecting back to the Hub downtairs which is much further away.

I've tried disconnecting, forgetting the network, and then rejoining but it still connects back to the Hub.

@41175 if the pods dont connect give Sky a call but it may require a reboot of the hub to get the units to plsy nicely again.

Re: Sky Max Pods stopped working

Hi @Chrisee. The Hub got powercycled a couple of times which I'm assuming is what's caused the Pods to drop off the network.

Would you recommend doing it one more time before calling Sky?

@41175 not that I am aware of. The hub is supposed to sort this automatically to maximise speed. The pods are WiFi5 if the lsptop supports wifi6 that msybe the reason but I am guessing.

Re: Sky Max Pods stopped working

This link is quite valuable, I received a new pod in replacement to one that seems to have gone faulty. Plugged it in and sat there flashing. This link got it connected!
