@Chrisee @Addie15 thanks for the chat today, could not help me fix this problem and gave me number to ring but the person I am speaking to is just reading from a list of questions and useless.
I have just noticed that my IP is shared using MAP-T and reading info on this it suggests that might be stopping me from using Port Forwarding?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Noopy66 MAP-T shouldn't affect port forwarding as such. Setting up a port forwarding rule on a SR213 should switche the sharing ratio from 8:1 to 1:1 automatically.

thanks @Chrisee , it has changed the ratio to 1:1 so that should be OK
The Sky helpdesk was absolutely useless, reading info and askiing me to check things on my router and SKy app which were not there, so obviously did not know what the Sky Max screen or app included, in the end she told me to ring the number again and hopefully get put through to someone else in her department- what a waste of an hour....

Going back to the original IP address issue, it seems that Sky's routers reserve the whole address range for DHCP. Just had a look at my SR213's web interface & it appears that you can still amend the range. So I'd be inclined to limit the range & set a static IP address on the PC itself outside that, rather than rely on a reserved address from the Hub. I have my DHCP address range to start at 101.
