I have a problem with my sky hub (SR203 on latest firmware) , I have Sky ultrafast plus broadband 500mb with a reported speed of 522 reaching the hub via ONT Openreach box.
However anything connected to the Ethernet ports 1 to 3 is only on average receiving 200 Mbps . I have tested all three ports with direct connection using know good CAT6 cables. Home mesh Wi-Fi also reporting average 200 Mbps obviously because it is connected to router via the Ethernet and being restricted at that point.
If use sky WiFi I do get around 400Mbps which again to me points to the Ethernet ports.
I have already had and open reach engineer to confirm the connection to the house and a new router sent by sky.
Am I missing something , is there an alternate router (upgrade) I can get to achieve full speeds or is my only option to leave sky ?
Any thoughts ?

Do you have any Sky Q television boxes connected by ethernet?

Thanks guys
yes I have been in the router management a lot while investigating and I can confirm LAN ports configured to Gigabit.
i do have a sky Q box but it is not connected directly to router/hub goes via gigabit switch which is disconnected during all tests to confirm.
It's a tough one this

Another update - sky have sent a new Sky Hub (SR203) which I installed over the weekend - I was immeadiatly getting near 490Mbps across all three gigbit ports - plug all equipment back in and geeting the same across my whole network - winner !
However 24 Hours later i am back to average 200 Mbps out of the ethernet ports , I think I recieved a firware update in the new router overnight but do not see that in the logs.
Is anyone experiencing this and more importantly is / should it be covered by Sky speed gaurantee ?

Strictly speaking, no, because the Guaranteed Minimum Download Speed is that delivered to the Hub from the internet.

I am also experiencing this problem of only getting average 200mbps using speedtest to my main PC and laptop - all on wired Cat6/Cat5e connections to this Sky hub to 1000Gb ethernet NICs. I am still on cool down - can't see any way to contact Sky - they seem to be making it as difficult as possible to find out how to contact them - right now I will be leaving them again and going back to Virgin Media Business - which actually has a direct phone line to support engineers for same price as Sky is charging for this crap.

Well, I eventually got through the maze of automated crap and in contact with Sky, and some young fellow who didn't know his **bleep** from his elbow started asking irrelevant stupid questions, then left me on line waiting for 10 minutes then said his "engineer" said "the line was green", then as I was talking he just hung up on me. So %^&^ you Sky, you had your chance, sick of dealing with scam companies who only like to hoodwink the 90% of normal people who don't know they are getting scammed... I'm leaving again after 4 days. ps I have degree in Computer Science and 20+ years industry experience... I know when I'm being conned into a 200mbps service when its advertised as "up to 1000mbps".

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@geogan-eire you are addressing fellow customers not Sky by posting I get you are annoyed but swearing wont help Sky will hang up on you. Not sure quite why you are not seeing full speed over your nee line but agree there are no obvious reasons why you aren't. However nobody is scamming you on purpose and there will be logical explanation.
I am escalating your post to the Sky team who support the forum so you can formally complain but given they are based in the UK they might not be able to help if you are in Ireland as Sky Ireland use different systems.

Too late... I have already gone back to Virgin Media and getting a new 1Gb 2 year contract from them instead. Just have to figure out how to get out of Sky 14 day cooling off now.
