Sky Full Fibre installation - choice of router room?

My company insists on an Ethernet connection and a secure, lockable room, which I have set up in the bedroom box room where the master socket is. It works a treat.

So, thinking at the moment about FFP and switching over, but this is majorly holding me back - would I be able to have the router in the same room so I can keep the ethernet connection, or will the engineers just assess where it can go and that's it? Would they even install upstairs?

@LynneHassanAdam The Fibre connection where the ONT is fitted can be installed upstairs it's all down to what the Engineer can do and what is involved to get that cable to the point, I did mine all that way, as it is Pole to Roof line connection and took care of everything coming to that point, the Installation teams or on a time restrained to get it in and done, so there is NO easy answer for what you need, but Ethernet cable from your Room to a place where possibly the ONT would be installed, and does your company think that would be secure enough. It's all on the day that it happens and if the Installation Engineer say's NO then you just have to stop and not proceed any further!

thank you, have had a look at the BT wholesale and still not sure what installation they would offer? the existing ADSL is coming direct from the pole opposite, straight into the office, whether full fibre can be installed the same route is there any way of telling from these stats?

@LynneHassanAdam The first two lines below the table, OH feed from a pole but hoist required, and FIBRE cable is not like copper so NO sharp bends are allowed! You are more than likely coming from the same pole, if you look you may even see a CBT fitted to that pole already, just search Openreach CBT and you will find examples off what they look like!
