Sky Fibre Ireland - Terrible Performance today
Morning Folks,
Im a 500mb Subscriber in Ireland and today the performance is gone to the absolute dogs, Ive rebooted the ONT and the Router. Speedwise its actully OK on tests but there seems to be some weird latency issue and upload issue.
Like all my Echo's are failing out to answer anything, my work laptop is working but all pages are 50x slower then normal, even these forums etc...
This all started this morning for me 17th October.
PS the fibre is via open eir.
Thanks,
Fionn

Re: Sky Fibre Ireland - Terrible Performance today
Hey Fionn,
Did you get anywhere with this?
I've been experiencing an intermittent drop since early December. Also running 500mb fibre.
So far we've had 3 engineer visits. Have replaced the modem and the ONT. The engineer yesterday switched the channel in the box at the top of the pole but it went out for 6hrs in the early morning.
When the engineers arrive (unannounced) the line is always working and tests perfectly.
Cheers,
Dom.
