In theory yes, it can get complicated though!
You will need to do the process of cancelling your existing broadband service your self and not do a transer of service, somtimes called One Touch.
You will need to check first that your existing telephone and broadband service is not a bundled service, i.e. one is not dependent on provision of the other. You may find that if it is then cancling the broadband service will also cancel the phone service or the phone service cost may increase.
Provided you don't have a fibre service delived by another provider, when you order your Sky service, indicate during the online order process that you don't have broadband already, there is also a box you can tick to prevent your existing phone service being transfered to the fibre network.
What 'should' happen is you existing copper phone line should remain, and you will get a fiber service installed alongside. Sky do provide you with a telephone number associated with your fibre install, but there is no rental cost associated with it, just don't request any call packages.
Don't be supprised if it all gets a bit convolouted, it's not the sort of easy install their systems are designed to provide for.
Depending on it goes with your exisiting provider you may find that porting your phone number to Sky to be the better option.

Sky Q, which will be sadly missed when they decide to kill it off!

Thank you Waveman for your very quick reply.
My set up at the moment is FTTP Broadband from Brawband via City Fibre and my phone VOIP supplier is Andrews and Arnold .
I am thinking of moveing to Sky Broadband also via City Fibre ( They have a very good offer for Broadband at the moment) but as I read their terms for Broadband they will automaticaly include a Pay as You Talk line . I dont want to use Sky talk as their call charges are very high.
Is this possible?
Thank again

Ok, that makes it a bit more clear. As you already have an ONT supplied by CF, then they wont provide you with another. If your VIOP is provided by a VIOP over the CF connection, then I am assuming that you have a telephone that has a base station that connects to your existing router.
When you change to Sky, they will send you a router which has 4 ports on the back, one will connect to your existing CF ONT, one to your telephone base station. There is no ability in the Sky router to provision VOIP.
You get a number with Sky as part of the broadband package, but this number is tied to the telephone socket on the back of the router.
This is pretty much my setup, I have a Gigaset telephone base station, I can't post the model as the forum thinks it's personal details(!) which has two telephone numbers assigned to it using SipGate I dont use the telephone port on the Sky router, infact I dont actually use their router as I have a DrayTek multi WAN router that I use instead.

VoIP service through A&A is entirely independent of Sky Talk Internet Calls.
If you don't connect an analogue handset or DECT base to the phone socket on the Sky Hub then no calls will be made or received there and no charges will be levied. There isn't any option to not have the Internet Calls service bundled with Sky Broadband.

Thanks TimmyBeGood for your response.
My set up at present is - Boadband 1 gig fron Brawband via City Fiber and phone service from A and A.
I am thinking of transfering Broadband to Sky. They also use City Fiber. And leaving phone service with A and A.
Problem with this is that Sky seem to automatically supply a phone line and whilst you dont have to have a phone package you will automatically be on Sky Pay as you Talk and will be chargedfor any calls made and their prices are very pricey compared to A and A.
So if I dont cancell A and A and I plug my phone into the router who will I be enabling Sky or A and A?
I do not have any old copper wire connections only the Broadband FTTP fom City Fiber
Any ideas on how to get round this.

If the A&A service is actually VoIP then presumably the handset is either ethernet or WiFi?
A handset plugged into the phone port on a Sky Hub can only access Sky Talk Internet Calls.

Your phone service from A & A, how is this connected?
Is your phone plugged into your router that your current broadband provider gave you?
If it connects to your existing router using WiFi, then you will need to update the phones WiFi settings to connect to the Sky router WiFi, it will then just connect to the A & A service.
If it is plugged into an RJ45 socket (a standard ethernet connection) on the back of the router, a 'LAN' port then great, just plug that into your new Sky router, the SIP settings in your A & A phone will just work.
The Sky broadband is supplied with a Sky Talk number, you cannot get away from that, howerve this is only provided to a standard BT type plug on the back of the router marked UK with a picture of a phone. Only if you plug something in there will you make phone calls over Sky. If you plug nothing in then no calls will travel over the Sky talk network.
