Sky Broadband Router keeps crashing
Had a replacement router as the old would crash multiple times in a short period.
new router issues and has crashed twice tonight.
Im on Gigabit Fibre which I recently upgraded from 500Mbps to 900Mbps. Since then seems unstable and no difference in real world speed.

Re: Sky Broadband Router keeps crashing
@ChrisSparkes Increasing speed from 500Mb/s to 900Mb/s will not increase real world speeds as few apps can use even 100Mbb/s it should be noticeable in speed tests run over Ethernet but with WiFi you may see a slight increase in areas near the hub but further away it will be the WiFi signal that determines the speed.. The only area that should be faster is downloads over ethernet assuming the server operator does not limit bandwidth each client can access as many do.
If a second hub is crashing the cause is probably enviromental as the liklehood of two hubs being faulty is quite low. I would check out the mains supply. It is unlikely but possible the issue is with the ONT but if you are 100% certain ir isnt anything else then call Sky again.
