Sky Broadband Performance drop

There has been a significant drop in download performance in the last 24 hours!  Is it the weather or Donald?

@DaveWilkin all that chart shows is amazingly speeds for sites in Kansas are slower than those in the UK which is almost certainly not to do with your Sky connection but simply a factor of oh I dont know a 100 fold increase in distance? All connections are shared but the tests run on sites in London are as they should be.However throw in a transatlantic cable and few thousand kms across the states you have probably more than 20 server hops things are a tad less snappy.

When running diagnostic checks keep the test server the same Ookla and Netflix's Fast.com offer test servers locally butand but use the same one if investigating potential issues with your broadband connection. Your results look good for a partial fibre connection.

Re: Sky Broadband Performance drop

I am very pleased with my Sky Broadband package, it  has only been the last couple of days where the performance has dropped. It is not affected my broadband use, but I am always wary of consistent drops in performance as I have had unwanted devices/parasites on my network in the past!

Maybe Sky is doing some upgrades 🙂
