Sky Booster 2 - EE120 with Sky Hub SR203

I have been having issues with my Mini Box and Broadband for the last couple of weeks with broadband speeds dropping or disconnecting completely.

What I have worked out is that the 2 Sky Booster 2's that are causing the issues. They are both hard wired one directly to the hub for WiFi in my office and the other cabled from the main SkyQ box for the mini box in the kitchen.

I decided to phone Sky to see whether anything has changed and whilst getting model numbers I found some articles to say that the EE120 boosters are not really compatible with the SR203 hub.

Reading some more it seems to be the wireless connection that is the major issue but I have them hard wired. Sky have said it is compatible and are sending me a replacement to try but I am not convinced it is going to make a difference.

I did manage to reset the boosters but the reset to a different SSID so I had to take them to the router and sync them using WPS.

It looks like I need to have the stand up Sky Broadband repeater but was told this could cost an extra £240 to have for the next 2 years under Sky WiFi Max.

Can anybody confirm whether thie current configuration will ever work as it did when I had the old ER115 router?

Or should i have been told about the issues when upgrading and give an option to swap the Boosters to compatible ones?

It is just really frustrating with it being intermittent and I am reluctant to spend any more as I pay Sky enough and am a platinum member having been with them for 20 years.

Re: Sky Booster 2 - EE120 with Sky Hub SR203

@nigeg The EE120's have been proven to work with the SR203 although the SE210 Sky Broadband Booster is the matching set, opposite way i know 100% that the sky Broadband booster worked with the old sky Q hub, just did one back in june neighbour went FF so the Q was a swapout, and just paired the SE210 to the new SR203 with zero issues!

The push is always going to be the sky Max as the old ones are now ending there life as usable items! And do yourself a huge favour sky Max is NOT the way to go when you have sky Q and mini's....

If you are going to pair them together i have always found you need to take them and sit right next to the sky hub, then the wps works 100% no issues, keep them apart and try to do it, guaranteed the suckers will not pair up!!!!
