Setting up Router

Hi. Today is the day of activation. Have had the text that all is ready

Once i have set router up i need to change its name and password to same as old one so that all of my smart products can pick it up easily.

Where do I go to do this please ?

Also it says i should have wifi controls in app to limit times for devices etc but i dont. Is this because i havent plugged the router in yet or do i need to ring them ?

Which router have you got? The white one? Sky Max?

Yes so all administration for the Sky Max hub is done via the My Sky app. The settings for it wont appear until your hub is plugged in and activated & even then it can take 24-48hrs after that for the settings to appear.

Ah ok, that cause an issue as all of my lights etc are configured to old hub details

 

Will I be able to ring them up and get them to change name and password from their end ?

My whole house won't work ! As I have an echo dot and light bulb on each room all looking for the old network name and password !

 

I've got too many devices to connect them all to the new name and then get them all to re-connect back to the old name !!!

Unfortunately thats just how it is. Feedback has been given to Sky about the length of time its taking for settings to appear in the My Sky app, however there is currently no improvement.

 

You'll either need to live without your smart devices for 24hrs (Shocker I know) or reconnect them using the new SSID & password.
