Hi all
I want to buy a 3rd party router (likely Asus given what I've read so far) but I'm totally new to this so looking for help on what I need to do to make sure I get it working.
We've just had sky fibre activated having switched from BT. It's FTTP and 500mb speed.
Bit of a long story but Sky messed up the delivery of our router and have only just got a new one ordered so we're currently without internet which is why I'm looking to set up my own 3rd party router (something I've been thinking about doing anyway).
can anybody share some advice on what information I'll need to have to be able to set the new router up, or some links on where I can go for support?
thanks

Thanks for this. I'm totally new to this, so will it be obvious where to input that? Also, is the rest of the set up just a case of following the asus instructions?

So long as connection type is set to autmatic ip then all you need to do is enter the string above into client identifier field
