Rubbish connection

I am very dissatisfied with my whole set up, which does not work . Firstly they came unannounced when I was out, and put a great black cable all down the front of the house.

Then insisted  it went in  basement, and now I have rubbish connection to the rest of the house, which keeps dropping out. I think I will need boosters everywhere. I am an old person, and need connection. I should have stayed with BT  I am paying £65 a month to watch nothing.
