Hi after recommendations for a router that will play well with SKY BB I also guessing will lose the landline and no way around this.

The budget is max 100 and decent wifi speeds, most importantly is something that will give a stable reliable connection.

Will SKY give a username and password over the phone/chat?

No, but you'll find numerous references to generic credentials and other settings in this forum.

The username/password combination used to authenticate a router is not specific to an individual broadband account, and note that advice online regarding the use of Wireshark and MAC spoofing are long obsolete.
