Router thinks I'm in the UK for certain Apps. I'm not.

I have seen this mentioned this elsewhere, but no helpful answers.

Now TV and Channel 4 app think I'm in the UK. I ain't. I'm in Rep of Ireland.

Not using a VPN.

I've done all the router reset, powered off/on etc, all the usual suspects.

They work on mobile data, they work on other wifi networks I've tried, but on my Xbox one S, my iphone 8 & iphone X, it seems, are in the UK. They ain't.

I talked to a Sky service person, but I don't really think she understood me. She asked me to refresh Apps on my Sky Q box, but I'm not sure how that helps. I did do that incidentally.

Something has corrupted somewhere.

Contract is up in 7 weeks. At least that.

Any help appreciated, but this does seem to have happened to many others.

Hi,

Hi there, thanks for the reply. It does seem to have sorted itself in the last few hours. I unplugged the router for a few hours (again), maybe that did something this time. Curiously, the Now Tv devices log-in list says that I logged in from Ireland and Southwark UK at the same time. I didn't 🤔

So it does seem to have resolved, if not fully. Cheers Rocketman
