Router problems

We have had openteach out as our broadband keeps disconnecting this has been going on since the 30/7, he has told us the router is over heating and we need a new one can you please help with this, we have sky glass and don't have tv for more than 30 minutes at time before we have to turn everything off and reset it for it to work for another 30 minutes, very annoying
