Hello.

Im having my broadband installed tomorrow.  The router cable will not be long enough to reach the power source.

Have seen extensions on Amazon. Anyone out there know what the male/female size is need.

It's the black router.

Re: Router 12v

@billynomates37 What are you having installed tomorrow that requires the change to the power source length for the low voltage cable.

You would be quicker to run a single socket mains extension than try to find a barrel adapter cable of BOTH correct sizes to fit, but looks like it is a 4mm x 1.7mm but do not hold me to that fact....

Re: Router 12v

Hi

The router sits on a corner shelf above a power socket.  I'm short by a few inches(story of my life).

Its either an extension lead or move the shelf down which will be added faff.

The supplied ethernet cable is also too short but I have a longer one I can use.

I've tried to measure but 2.1 and 2.5 look very close.

Thanks for your help

@billynomates37 Never even thought to ask, but i was looking at the adapter on the SR203 hub, just so you know. My bad....

Once you know the correct do post it up will take away any future guessing.

Re: Router 12v

Old techy's tip.  You can use metric drill bits as a gauge.  If a 3.0 doesn't fit try a 2.5, if that doesn't fit it will be a 2.1.  Simples!
