Rerouting fttp interior cable

IMG_6550.jpeg

I'm buying a flat with fttp already installed. But it runs vertically down the centre of the main wall in the living room. The cable needs to be rerouted along the edges of the walls and skirting. The access point does not need to be moved.

Sky online only offers me a posted router as the premises show on their database as fully wired already. How do I book a cable rerouting as part of the purchase of broadband?

How long can I expect to wait for an appointment?

I suspect there's no way of doing so as part of the initial order: you'd have to become a customer, move in and then book the ONT relocation.

They don't want the ONT moving, just the cable re-routing along the ceiling and then down the corner and back along the skirting board. It seems to go to some sort of junction box which is then plugged into the ONT via an optical cable.

Being a flat would they have a junction box for the external feed and then each flat can have a feed from there to the flat? Would that be the responsibility of the management company or OR?

@Jo428 It might be worthwhile to ask whoever the management company are first about re-routing that as I have no idea where it disappears to through the ceiling. It'll be quicker (even if the answer is no) than waiting for it to be fitted. That's an horrible looking installation BTW.
