I've probably provided too much detail below, but TLDR - I want to delete a static IP reservation from the Sky Max Hub (white one).
I have created a static IP address reservation for a host on my network, via the Sky Max Hub. The host has network/internet connectivity which works perfectly, and it has the correct IP address as per the reservation, and I can ping it from other hosts. But on the hub, under Connected Devices, it appears under the Offline Devices section for some reason. I don't think it probably makes any difference but the host is a virtual Linux box.
I wanted to set up port forwarding to that host, which I was configuring through the Sky app. But the host is not on the list of available devices when I try to do that. I thought that may be linked to it showing as offline (although I should add that there were other devices showing as offline such as my son's phone, which was with him at school at the time but was still available to choose from the devices list under port forwarding, so that may be a red herring).
I decided to delete the IP reservation and set it up again to see if that helped - however, there is no way that I can see to delete a static IP reservation from the router. There is an edit button but no delete. I've tried editing it and removing the IP address etc, and setting to DHCP instead, but the reservation remains.
Is there some way to get rid of the static IP reservation, please? It seems like a feature that should be there, but I can't see how to do it.
Thanks!

Hi Chrisee,
I just ended up restoring factory settings and that solved the problem. Its the latest router, the white one.
But to add to this, I'm seriously considering buying an Asus 6000 Rog or Tuf router and using this instead off, as you can prioritise gaming then. The Asus model I currently own isn't combatable, but they are so good.
Cheers
Jase

Delete a Reserved IP
I set my PC as a Reserved IP address, as I read it helped Online gaming, now its playing up. So i need to return it to DHCP.
I've tried clicking edit then moving it to DHCP, press save but it just returns to Reserved.
I so wish I could use my own router and I wish I could call some one and just get it sorted quickly,
Cheers Jase

Re: Delete a Reserved IP
@JaseHop what model Sky hub do you have? There should be no reason to switch back but its odd that your hub wont accept the change. I ran a test on my own hub which is a white hub6 and itvaccepted the switch back. From memory the black Hub4 did as well but the interface is quite fussy about the browser you used.
You can use your own router if you want but you lose the land line and it is sensible to buy a router that offers DHCPv4 Option 61 which all Sky's UK lines support.

Remove Reserved IP when there is no IP address set
I have been going through list of connected devices and setting IP addresses for a number of IT equipment that I want to have a fixed IP address but there is a lot of Offline devices that have been set to have a reserved IP but no IP address listed only a MAC address. No matter how many times I try to remove these devices the router won't allow me to remove them.

Re: Remove Reserved IP when there is no IP address set
Is this on the Sky Broadband hub (SR203) or Sky Max hub?

Hi @kbf
Welcome to the Community.
I've merged your thread into this one.
We are investigating this problem, however in the meantime, you can carry out a reset that @JaseHop has provided here.

Re: Remove/delete IP reservation from Max hub?
I have just been upgrade to the new white modem. In setting up my devices with reseved IP address I inevitable made mistackes in entering mac codes. As others have pointed out apart from resetting the router I have no why of correcting. A software update to enable users to view and edit reserved addresses is urgently needed.

Re: Remove/delete IP reservation from Max hub?
The way I see it, these problems all stem from the new Max hub being intended for use with the Max service and only by people who subscribe to that. I think that was Sky's original intention anyway, and it would have been ok if they hadn't started sending the Max hub to every new customer regardless of whether they're subscribing to Max. Sure, the Wi-Fi coverage and speed works great, I can't fault that part of it, and I see zero drops in my internet connection or Wi-Fi connections to my umpteen devices. But I want a bit more than that from my router as do a lot of other customers, as we can see from the comments here. I want some flexibility and some control over what the router's doing, and I don't want to be forced to have to do that via a smartphone app - which ultimately doesn't work properly anyway. I totally understand why Sky wouldn't want their however-many-million customers all having different setups and configs though, because it would be an absolute nightmare to support and would require more than just a scripted call centre or online FAQ's section to troubleshoot, but I would at least like to be able to add and remove static IP assignments. The router's web config pages are horrible to use which doesn't help things, it all seems so cobbled together. Hopefully the issues can be sorted out soon because I really would expect products and services from Sky to work seamlessly.

Re: Remove/delete IP reservation from Max hub?
Hello,
I have the same identical issue, but I'd avoid factory resetting my router.
If you like, I can shoot a video and post it here to show live the behaviour.
Do you have any other solutions that do not involve a factory reset?
Kind regards,
Marco

Re: Remove/delete IP reservation from Max hub?
Hi Sadly no. It is a pain as some devices require a fixed IP address.
