Re: Regarding MAP-T

@TimmyBGood That makes sense. I assume the connection is different to the old place, as the speed was much lower. I would need to look up what is compatible with G.Fast, at least I know what type of connection I have now.

@Roxanna786 Don't waste your time, G.Fast is dead, and as soon as OR can yank it out they will!

@Roxanna786

I'm just assuming it's G.fast because you have the SR204

A Sky Broadband Ultrafast 1 ('up to' 150Mbs) over copper* has to be G.fast.

Draytek do one of their Vigor modems in a G.fast flavour.

Re: Regarding MAP-T

@JimM1 Sadly G.Fast is the best thing i can get in this area. Otherwise i would be considering something else. Also as for the statistic, if its still even worth posting. Screenshot 2025-08-08 183746.png

For use with an appropriate router, but not exactly 'plug and play' on Sky Broadband.

Also doesn't support Sky Talk Internet Calls.

Re: Regarding MAP-T

@Roxanna786 It gets real simple, the line has to be spot on, very short connection to your green street cabinet, and look the other way it is hard to keep up steady and working good/stable that is a major requirement, for an ISP and the supplier OR, would be interesting to see a speed test posted if you care to do so, but your stat's are important to see what your copper line is like, OR Master socket G.Fast normally marked on it, bottom LHS off the socket and got lot higher speed filters in that socket!

Re: Regarding MAP-T

@JimM1 I posted the stats earlier but im not knowledgable to read them and translate what they mean. As for the speed, i took the time to do so. Its on a PC and hardwired straight.

Re: Regarding MAP-T

@Roxanna786 Did you reset it all, back to zero time, if you are reseting power on it then STOP it you will be causing more harm than good!

Give it a couple of days now to settle, your readings say nothing but 100/15 rate that is poor for a G.Fast line!

Re: Regarding MAP-T

I did, I was trying to change over routers. But the router resets itself at times. Either way, I appreciate the help. Don't think there's much else I can do but switch over setups.

Keep in mind that in the absence of FTTP, any other Openreach ISP will only offer FTTC at the address rather than G.fast, so you'd be losing 20Mbs.

Given your line appears to be barely above the 100Mbs minimum 'guarantee' for that technology I doubt a change in modem will have any effect.

Re: Regarding MAP-T

@Roxanna786 If you have a bad line then there is going to be NO way off finding that out if you keep switching over Routers or powering off the Hubs, YOU are only compounding the issue!
