Real Coverage issues WIFI 6

Recently moved to the new WIFI 6 and Max Pod Plug from the previous fibre. Throughput is not an issue when hardwired or close to the router (500mb FTTP and hitting constant 515 down, 69 up)  but since we have changed to the new White Wifi 6 hub and pod, the wifi coverage is awful in the house where previously we neevr had issues. We live in a 3 floor new build so cant even blame thick walls etc. Previously used a se210 booster and it more than covered the everywhere, even the back of the long garden. Sky Q mini box keeps loosing conection on the top floor now, moved the plug about which hasnt helped really. Constant buffering on streaming devices that are not close to Router.

What are my options here with obtaining a 2nd plug? Id rather not the hassle of an engineer visit. Will support teams assist, id even pay for another plug at this point as i cant work on the top floor consitantly without choppy teams calls and constant VPN drops (Embarrising)

@Sarah+Jane+0804 with your old system the black hub, booster and the Q boxes all worked as wifi sources forcall devices giving coverage on each level. The new White hub is not compatable with the Q wifi mesh so cannot use the Q boxes and the SE210 as extenders hence the lower speeds away from the hub. The Q mini cannot link to the white hub instead it relies on a closed signal from the main Q box. The SE210 can act as an extender to connect the Q mini.

If the old system worked and you haven't sent back the black hub simply use that and reject the Sky WiFi Max system. Although in principle the new hub is faster in systems with Q boxes it can, as you have found, make things worse. The issue is the Q mesh uses a proprietary mesh system which is no longer available so while you have that srick with its matched hub.  If the black hub has gone back you msy have to fight Sky to get one sent out but if you complain formally I would think they will give in. Most devices cannot use let alone need much over 100Mb/s apart from when downloading.

As a general point dont assume new builds are easy to network they aren't as while internal partition walls are easy multiple levels, foill faced insulation panels etc can present issues.
