Re: Connected but no internet

I have just purchased sky ultra fast broadband and sky glass and I work from home - now my laptop which is a Chromebook will not work it says connected but no internet.  Been through sky and told after hours trying to fix over the phone that it's a problem with my laptop.  Told I herd to buy a new laptop.  Yet when u go to all my other friends houses I can use their internet.  It's only sky ! It sounds now from this post that actually sky know this is a problem why wasn't I advised about this .  So it's not my fault - and if I buy a new Chromebook as suggested it sounds like I will have the same issue - I do not want to change Chromebook it is my preferred type of laptop I work from home using it - please send someone to fix this issue for me in the ways you have talked about fixing the local port I am close to leaving sky altogether after being with them for years now I ajwats used to have bt broadband never had any of these problems ! Also lost time working ! Very unhappy ! Please advise asap

That's extremely unlikely to happen: ISPs just don't despatch staff to resolve individual device issues.

If it's a work connection and a white Max Hub then the issue is probably with VPN delivery, as noted in the pinned post at the top of this forum.
