RTE player Issues

Hi all,

 

I switched to Sky broadband a few days ago. All of my other streaming apps like Virgin Media, All 4, Netflix are working perfectly (on both my Smart TV and SKY puck) but everytime I try to watch something on RTE player the following is coming up:

1000043259.jpgI know the issue is with Sky because it works fine off my phone when I'm not connected to Wifi and I'm using my mobile data instead.

I've had no issue with RTE player with any other broadband provider.

Has anyone else experienced the same thing and if so how did you resolve it?

@Carm10 are you in Eire? There have been some reports of issues with some TV apps not identifying Sky IP addresses as being in the republic snd not working. If you confirm you are I will get your post escalated to the peoplecwho ccan help.

Hi, I am having the same issue the last few days. RTE player not working on Sky Stream or on my phone using Sky Broadband. It works fine on my phone when I switch to Data to view it.

Same issue here in Sky Broadband with RTE Player.

Message:  This programme cannot be streamed due to rights restrictions

Hi All,

 

I contacted RTE player directly and I got this response:

 

"Thank you for contacting RTE player

Unfortunately we are are aware of some users using a sky ISP having difficulties accessing content

We have raised the issue with our developers and are hoping to have the issue resolved for you soon

Apologies for any confusion caused."

 

I tried RTE player on my TV again this evening and it's working. Working on all other devices too.

Worth emailing them!
