Public IP

Hi,

I have a sky router SR203 with a TP-Link mesh router connected via Ethernet.

I have been trying to set the VPN setting up on this but I can't get the public ip address to be visible from the sky router to the tp link router.

Does anyone know what I need to do to get this to work. I'm guessing it's port forwarding but I don't know anything network related and can't figure it out. What port etc and where do I set this in the sky router.

@andre95 it cannot be done as the Sky hub does not have a modem or bridge mode. Are you sure you need the public IP address to operate the VPN function?

Re: Public IP

Im not sure is the truth.

would it just need a port forward from my sky router to set up an open vpn?

Which VPN functionality are you attempting to set up?

Site-to-site VPN is different to running a VPN server for home network access from outside, for example.

@andre95

You need to port forward twice. On the Sky router forward the port from WAN to your TP-Link routers local IP. THen on the TP-Link router enable the VPN service
