Problems with new white router
I was advised to get the new white router although everything was good with the old black one. Now I have problems with poor WiFi cover, my Alexa doesn't work anymore and my door cam doesn't work .

Re: Problems with new white router
The new white router does not have the booster capability that the old black three light routers had.
Before changing to the white router which Sky will try to encourage you to do please consider the size of your property and the number of boxes and devices you have.
You will definitely need additional boosters for both Sky Q and WiFi if you have mini boxes or your property is any larger than a average 3 bed house.
There will undoubtedly be advantages to the white boxes in the future when we are all on fibre and Sky can go to fully streamed services but these new routers are being introduced too soon and too quickly with questionable advice being given by Sky customer services.
From my experience my advice to anyone considering changing to the new routers is don't do it if you are on a copper connection and if your current Sky Q system is working fine.
Once changed over to the new white router there is no going back.

Re: Problems with new white router
@Greggo01 Original posting is over a year old, just so you are aware! The boosting on the sky Max hub, it is by using the sky Max pods, as they are set to work the way off the Max hub for operation in TRI band mode with the hidden backhaul and full channel auto mode!
Yes sky Q has to be treated way different and therefore an older sky Broadband booster may be required in that mix to aid it along, so does get more complicated with the mix of New/Old....
WiFi 6 has been out for many years now but it is NOT about speed as it's main function in life!
