@-Ziggy- the white Sky hubs have UPnP setting defaulting to off. To enable it use the instructions here UPnP set up

My internet connects to my Xbox , but I have this saying come up " UPnP unsuccessful. Does anybody know how to solve it cause sky techs don't know how too . I've phoned 4 times at least with same problem and has not yet been resolved . Please help if you can as I'm using my mobile data through hotspot and it's killing my data . I would appreciate any help given if It works .
Have you disabled or lowered the Sky Broadband Shield settings? https://www.sky.com/myaccount/bb-and-talk/broadband-shield
If it's a white Max router then Sky have seen fit to remove the option to toggle the UPnP setting off and on.

If not the Shield then try the following post re. UPnP:-

@Me134 the white Sky hubs have UPnP defaulting to off as that allows use on MAP-T sharing of IP4 addresses. The toggle is there but it is in the web interface not on the app. It is one of a few settings thst do work after the connection to the app is made. AFAIK the black hubs still default to UPnP as on.

Ha, so it is. Buried under Advanced > Device Discovery
Odd how they've split access between the app and the web portal for different services.

@Me134 if you were a cynic you may think that was done on purpose so the IP address sharing worked.
In practice though UPnP is not something most users need these days. Switching on UPnP or setting up a port forwarding switches MAP-T auotmatically from a 8:1 to a 1:1 ratio which sorts some oddities. Sky are very reluctant to remove MAP-T totally but given most of the issues with VPNs are sorted it is actually pretty rare for it to be required.
