Possible scam email
We are waiting for our broadband to arrive and have received an email but it doesn't look legit just wondered if anyone else has received a similar thing. It doesn't seem real but also both addresses are correct so just a little concerned.
it's from skyaddressmismatch@Sky.uk
"Hi it’s Sky.
We are contacting today with regards to your Broadband order. We have found two different versions of your address in our systems and with Openreach. Please reply to this email confirming which of the below address details are correct.
Openreach Address
states my new address have gotten rid of it for privacy reasons
Sky address
my correct old address again gotten rid of it for privacy
You can check the correct Format of your address at www.royalmail.com/find-a-postcode
Please note we require this information to be completely whole and accurate as Emergency Services rely on this information in the unlikely event of a call out. If in this instance it is only a slight variation and both addresses could be considered correct, then please state this also.
Keep in mind, if the address is incorrect or if we do not receive a response, then we may have to cancel your order, and a new order may need to be placed.
We will review your order again on 03/09/2024
Regards
Sky

Re: Possible scam email
@Emma285 Email is legit, as you requested a broadband service from Sky.
With address mismatches it can cause an issue so I would check Royal Mail, if their address data is wrong you can ask RM to update it.
