I'm looking at Sky Q and Sky FTTP broadband.
Is there any reason why I can't use my own router instead the Sky one?

Most asus rt ax routers work with sky however its best to use an ethernet cable for sky q

Thanks. I have a professional grade router which will work with Openreach FTTP, and I would be connecting the Sky Q by ethernet.
I just wanted to be sure that I could replace the Sky router with my own.

What make and model ? Always like to keep up to date with compatible routers

DrayTek. Mine is currently a Vigor 2926, but they have several other models that will do the same job.
