Port restricted NAT
Hi, I have been having an issue with having a port restricted NAT with my gaming PC. This has stopped my from being able to join xbox live parties with friends via the xbox app.
I have tried port forwarding, upnp and even placing my PC in a dozen but still have not been able to get an open NAT.
Has anyone had a similar issue and how can it be fixed?
Thanks

Re: Port restricted NAT
@CrazyMaverick if you placed your PC in the Sky Hub's DMZ (which is what I assume you mean by "dozen") and the app still doesnt work the issue is likely to be the configuration app itself or the PCs own security protection. A DMZ means you have bypassed the hub's firewall. This is a risky thing to do it is better to set up a specific port forwarding rule so only traffic using that port can get through. UPnP is also a better alternative. However the blunderbus approach of the DMZ means the issue isnt being caused by the hub's firewall.
Firewalls are there for a purpose which is to prevent external nasties getting to your devices.
