Port forwarding sky max hub
So in the my sky app, I can get onto my settings for port forwarding, that's not an issue, the issue is the device i need to use isn't showing in the list even tho it's connected to my router and shows as connected in the app too. I phoned sky, on the phone the device showed up for a few seconds, long enough to set the rule but that's it... the rule isn't working and in active rules it looks like it's grey where it's supposed to be a green circle? The most they said on the phone is a new router but this seems to be an issue that can be solved without a new router? Surely?

Re: Port forwarding sky max hub
@King+Nemo apart from rebooting or resetting the hub there is little you can do. The device needs an active IP lease while setting up the rule. to apoear on the device list.
Pretty obviously the device needs to be on and the app be running for the contacts from external servers to make contact. A common issue is people usecso called port probes to che k the ports but they only work if the app responds which most dont the only true test is running the app.

Re: Port forwarding sky max hub
Hello, did this one get sorted out for you? As I have pretty much the same issue. There's a device on my network but I can't see it on the list of devices when I try to set up a port forward via the app. My device is a virtual Linux machine for which I have set a fixed IP address via the router and it definitely is online. I can see it in the Connected Devices portion of the router's config pages but it's under the "Offline Devices" section for some reason. There are other devices in the same offline section which I can choose from when setting up port forwarding, so I don't think that's the reason. If you got it sorted out somehow, please let us know what happened. Cheers!
