Poor wifi

I have an extender in "room 1" as the WiFi signal to the back door ringbell was poor and I have virtually no signal at the bottom of the garden which is less than 20 mtrs from the router. A signal check has been done and says the signal is "good" to every device - except the extender!!! My rear ring doorbell also warns me that the signal is poor despite the signal check saying otherwise. I NEVER had this problem with BT and only moved to Sky as it was half the price......I am beginning to see why....
