Poor wifi

I have just swithed to Sky F500 from another provider supplying F150.

I have a new white router.

The connection to a PC using ethernet cables is fine and showing expected speeds.

The wifi on our mobiles drops down to 12M and the main Sky Q box has needed

the wifi connection reset twice and drops connection to the Mini Box.

The range of the wifi is also poor with the signal dropping in different rooms

and completely when in the garden.

Never an issue with the previous router.

I have read I can switch to WPA2 from WPA3 but would like some advice.

Thanks

S

Wireless encryption doesn't affect range: the Max Hub just appears to perform inexplicably poorly in some properties

Re: Poor wifi

Range is one thing but you can be standing right beside the new router and get 10M.

Re: Poor wifi

@Ste0011 Just drop back to WPA2-PSK mode on the hub, test and see how it goes, not knowing what you have device wise then guessing is required. See if the link below helps you!
